Andrés Otálora pays homage to "Betty la Fea" at Paris Fashion Week

The Colombian designer Andrés Otálora made his debut at Paris Fashion Week with Amazon Prime to celebrate the release of the series "Betty la Fea." Otálora is the brilliant mind behind the fashion show presented as a prelude to the new edition of the series, which will be released this year.

Versatile, delicate, and feminine garments, ranging from tailored suits to silk dresses, are the Colombian designer's proposal for the cosmopolitan woman who loves to dress well and navigates between nostalgia, femininity, and fashion. Known for his expertise in handling the female silhouette and volumes, Otálora aims for the big leagues.

The fashion show was highly theatrical. Otálora's collection was presented as if it were created by Hugo Lombardi, the iconic character from "Betty la Fea" who acts as the designer for Ecomoda, the fashion company in the series. The collection, designed and signed by Otálora, marks a significant milestone for the designer, as he becomes the first Colombian to have a runway show sponsored by the streaming platform.

Andrés Otálora has over 20 years of experience, with his flagship store and main office in Cali, Colombia, and business operations in more than 20 countries worldwide. Otálora embraces mixed market strategies, including pop-up showrooms in the Caribbean, permanent presence in the Middle East, seasons at Moda Operandi, and trunk shows in the fashion capitals.
